Nutrition First, Taste Second – Huel

Our third episode is all about Huel (Human Fuel) – a complete meal in powder form.

We have been eating Huel quite regularly, but since this is not a product review but a product podcast, we won’t go into too much detail of that 😅

Instead we explore Huel’s product strategy, its buyer personas and competitors.

Daniel starts on the PM side, talking about what the product is hired to do (if you’ve been with us for a while, you’ll know he loooves that question). In a massive reveal, he tells us that the product is not actually the powder, but the ability to replace a meal! 😱

Lena shares her view on the different buyer personas (five in total!). She then deals out her competitor battle cards, something she’s been waiting to do for a while. We’re comparing Huel to Soylent in this round, so look out 👀

We finish off by giving some recommendations around messaging to the various buyer personas and better product differentiation.
